First, let’s check the speed of our website

Now enter your site URL & click ‘Test speed’,

You can see your website load time & page size.

Load time indicates how long it takes for your website to completely load when a visitor opens your site.

And Page size is the size of a page on your website.

So now, to speed up your site, you can follow these 4 different ways.

The first way is to reduce the size of images on your website.

So to reduce the size of images,

Go to your site & check the size of any image by right click on it

And click ‘inspect’ & now if you go to the link,

You can see the size of the image.

To reduce the size, you need to install the plugin

Go to your dashboard ► plugins ► Add New

Now, search for ‘WP optimize’ and click ‘Install & Activate’.

And then click ‘WP-Optimize & images’ you will find all the images of your site

To reduce the size of the images, enable ‘Prioritise maximum
compression’

And then click ‘Select all & Compress’,

And the size of your image will be reduced,

Now if you can check you will find reduced load time & page size.

To automatically reduce the size of new images,

Go to dashboard ► WP-Optimize ► Enable ‘Automatically compress newly added images’

Next, to enable page cache on your website

Go to your dashboard ► WP-Optimize ► Cache ► Enable page caching

Next, to use Good hosting for your website.

It is important to select a good hosting server,

Next, to use CDN

To add CDN to your site, follow these 3 steps

Step 1: Create account in Cloudflare

Go to Cloudflare.com

Click ‘Sign up’, enter your details to create account

Step 2: Connect your website to Cloudflare

First, add your site to the Cloudflare account,

click ‘ Add site’, enter your URL & click ‘Add site’

Now choose the plan for your account & click ‘Continue’ twice.

You will find details that you need to add to your hosting account

Just open your hosting account go to DNS page

near the nameserver click ’change’.

Now add the details from Cloudflare account

Once added, go to Cloudflare click ‘Done & Get started’

Complete the steps to connect your site with Cloudflare

Next, once the nameserver is changed

You need to verify your email

Step 3: Install Cloudflare plugin

Go to your dashboard ► Plugins ► Add new,

Now search for Cloudflare, click ‘Install and Activate’

Click ‘Settings’ under Cloudflare & sign in to your account.

And now your site will load faster from anywhere around the world
