The Comics Aficionados break down all the latest comic book industry news and rumors. Several comic book creators (led by Tom King, Dan Slott and Bill Sienkiewicz) took to bullying fans this week. Tom King claims he had a fan removed from a comic convention, while Dan Slott bullied comic book YouTuber and friend of the pod Jimmy from Comic Quirks. While others attacked Aaron Lopresti’s Indiegogo campaign. DC announced veteran comic writer Joshua Williamson is replacing James Tynion IV on Batman in December. Williamson is taking Bruce outside of Gotham and introducing a new villain, Abyss. Nerd fights have long persisted in the comic book fandom. Today the Aficionados debate who wins in a fight: Superman or Hulk? Marvel Studios wowed fans with their teaser trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home. It appears a host of villains from past film universes invade the MCU to hunt down Peter Parker. Superman: The Movie is one of the most loved adaptations of DC’s legendary superhero. This week Robert Venditti’s Superman ’78 paid loving tribute to Richard Donner and Christopher Reeve’s beloved film. Reports suggest Marvel Studios are introducing the Fantastic Four or X-Men in 2022’s Dr. Strange and the Multiverse of Madness. Finally, DC Comics delayed almost 3 dozen upcoming comic books due to supply chain issues. They expect more in the future, could this affect the entire comic book industry? The Comics Aficionados break down all the latest comic book industry news and rumors.
