In this video Build with A&E have an Amazing day out with The Tall Carpenter at UK Construction Week and Timber Expo. We take a look at new innovations within the construction industry and Tony and Del join forces to discuss timber products with both of them being skilled carpenters. The guys take a look at sound insulation with acoustic boards, rebar tying tool and joist hangers. They are all impressed with First Base ground screws and Tony will be using them on an up coming project. One of Tony's highlights is K-Kaps damp protection for block and beam which again you will see being used on one of our extension project in the future. Another great product was natural fibre insulation and this hemp insulation definitely had the non itch advantage! There were big discussions about plywood and the varying standards you get especially marine ply from builders merchants. Another product that was impressive to all was the Durisol wood-crate blocks and how these could be a game changer in the future of building materials.
