Long queues could be seen in the streets of Xi'an, in central China, as authorities conduct a city-wide testing campaign amid an outbreak of the coronavirus.
The outbreak was traced to a tourist group on Sunday, which visited Inner Mongolia, Gansu and Shaanxi province, leading Chinese authorities to cancel flights and close popular tourist sites.
Early in the pandemic, China was the epicentre of the coronavirus but has managed to bring the virus under control with a policy of early lockdowns and widespread testing and tracking of residents.
Since the start of the pandemic, the country has recorded 109,062 confirmed cases and 4,849 deaths, the vast majority of which were before April 2020.
