San Diego: Of All Places to Break Down 10202021

1st Responders responded to what they thought was an automobile accident and when they arrived, they found that a Republic Services trash truck had actually broken down inside the tunnel of the Federal Blvd on-ramp to the westbound Hwy 94.
Some type of air valve had broken and the driver could not drive the trash truck any further. SDPD officers had to block the on-ramp and people had to drive approx 1 mile back to College Ave to enter the westbound Hwy 94. A mechanic arrived and fixed the break, and the tunnel was reopened after approx 30 minutes.
