Ethereum (ETH) should be an essential component of one's cryptocurrency portfolio. If Bitcoin (BTC) is king, then Ethereum is queen. However, within the smart contract platform sector, ETH reigns supreme.

Many, not limited to Cardano (ADA), Solona (SOL), and PolkaDot (DOT), have been hailed as "Ethereum killers". Yet, ETH continues standing atop the every growing and increasingly crowded smart contract community. It has proven its dominance as a first mover and currently boasts more dapps and more platform (smart contract) acceptance than any other currency on the market. For a balance of safety and growth potential - nothing beats ETH.
