STEP 1: Prepare the Surfaces.
a. Start off with a clean smooth surface. Wipe down cabinets with some water and T S P general purpose cleaner.
b. Look for any holes or gouges or imperfections that you'll need to fill with wood filler then smooth it out with a flexible cutting knife. Let it dry.
c. Protect the countertop with a drop cloth and tape off the soffits so you don't get any paint on it.
d. Sand the cabinets with sandpaper or a sanding sponge. Get through the first layer of finish and all of the different corners.
Follow the same process for the doors and drawers. Then clean up using a vacuum.

Step 2: Paint.
a. Spread out evenly the primer using the paintbrush, from the frames to the drawers and doors.
b. Use acrylic latex-based paint for the finish.
c. Once your paint has hardened, you can begin reassembling the cabinets.
