Ubuntu 21.10 OEM Install
Published at : October 20, 2021
This time around we are doing an OEM install for Ubuntu 21.10. This is ideal for people selling computers on Ebay or repurposing a machine that won't run Windows 11 to give to a friend or donate to a school or community center.
With the OEM install you can install software and do updates before you send the computer off AND still give the recipient a "new user" experience when they power it on for the first time. They will have to create a user account and set some basic settings, but the software you installed will be there. This saves time, especially if you are helping with the onsite setup.
