Before every IFR departure, we need to check that our instruments our working while still on the ground. Here's a typical IFR taxi check, where we'll take a deep look at each instrument and what we need to know for IFR flight.

The instrument that run off the pitot static system will get our special attention here. Especially the airspeed indicator, and how we can translate what it displays into the different kinds of airspeed: Indicated Airspeed, Calibrated Airspeed, and True Airspeed.
