๐ฃ In this video we will discuss and cover following topics:
1. Indian Air Force To Acquire 450 Fighter Aircraft, how long it will take to induct 450 fighter aircraft into Indian Air Force?
2. IAF to acquire 450 fighter aircraft jets in future, but is it too late for Indian Air Force (IAF) to induct more fighter aircrafts into the Indian Air force fleet?
3. Indian Air Force (IAF) Future Plans : 36 Rafale fighter aircraft jets, 114 Multi Role Fighter Aircrafts (MRFA), Russian Sukhoi SU-30 MKI, Russian MIG-29, Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA), Is the plannning too late for Indian Air Force (IAF)?
4. How Indian Air Force should deal and face challenge of depleting fleet of fighter squadrons?
5. How important is for Indian Air Force to induct more fighter aircrafts in near future?
6. When AMCA (Advances Medium Combat Aircraft) fighter aircraft will be delivered to India, and when the production of AMCA starts?
7. When LCA Tejas MK-1A fighter aircraft will be delivered to Indian Air Force (IAF)?
Indian Air Force (IAF) Chief Air Marshal Vivek Ram Chaudhary expressed his commitment to complete long pending projects like LCA (Light Weight Combat Aircraft) Tejas Mark-2 and AMCA (Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft) in the next couple of years most probably in the next 10 to 15 years. Indian Air Force desperately needs more fighter squadrons and that is the reason why Indian Air Force Chief is committed to induct 450 fighter aircrafts in the next 10 years. The drive of massive fighter aircraft induction into the Indian Air Force seems overwhelming and according to some of the defense experts nowhere in the world has such commitment of inducting or acquiring 450 fighter aircrafts into any air force fleet.
According to reports Indian Air Force (IAF) has currently planned for a steady build up of its fighter fleet over the coming two decades. This includes 83 LCA (light Weight Combat Aircraft) Tejas Mark-1, 12 Russian Sukhoi SU-30 MKI, 21 Russian Mig-29s, 114 Medium Role Fighter Aircrafs (MRFA), 7 squadrons of AMCA (Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft) fighter aircrafts and 70 HHT trainer aircrafts for Indian Air Force (IAF).
Currently, Indian Air Force (IAF) is encouraging start ups and Indian universities to compete in the Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicles (UCAV) through MEHAR BABA swarm drone competition. And recently Indian Air Force Chief V R Chaudhari himself presented awards to the young university graduates.
The dynamics of war has been changed and that is the reason why IAF should invest heavily into the next generation technologies including AI - artificial intelligence, electronic warfare systems and packages, unmanned aerial combat (UAV & UCAV) and surveillance vehicles, hypersonic combat stealth aircrafts and laser energy weapons which are the future of modern warfare.
Indian Air Force (IAF) has recently received deliveries of Tejas Mark 1 FOC (Final Operational Clearance) version aircraft from Hindustan Aeronautical Limited (HAL). But the good news is that the production of Light Weight Aircraft Tejas Mark1A is likely to start in 2022. Tejas Mark1A will have better capabilities with advanced avionics, indigenously build Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar, integrated electronic warfare suite and long range Beyond Visual Range (BVR) missiles.
In order to modernize Indian Air Force (IAF) fleet and to replace fleet of older fighter jets including IAF Jaguar, MIG-21 and Mirage-2000 fighter jets, Indian Air Force is dependent upon DRDO to manufacture indigenous Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft program called AMCA.
