Manipur ambush: Seven, including five soldiers, dead in terrorist attack in Singhat

Imphal: A convoy of the Assam Rifles unit was ambushed by a group of terrorists in Manipur's Churachandpur district on Saturday. Security forces have taken over and are carrying out search operations in the vicinity. The convoy of a Commanding Officer of Assam Rifles was attacked by terrorists in the Singhat sub-division. The officer was traveling with his family members and a Quick Reaction Team when the attack happened. Reportedly, the officer's wife and son died on the spot, while five soldiers were also killed in the attack.
