Messi And Mbappe Had No Interest In Defending Against Man City. PSG Fans Are Furious!

PSG are now forced to settle for runners-up in Group A after they were beaten 2-1 by Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium. Mbappe opened the scoring for PSG but Raheem Sterling pulled City level and then Gabriel Jesus netted the winner with 14 minutes remaining. Manchester City deservedly won the game as they were much more dominant with 55% possession.

Now, we all know about Messi’s habit of just standing on the pitch when the ball isn’t around him. He did that at Barcelona and he is doing that at PSG. While Neymar had his moments, City’s pressing influenced the whole game in their favour. But, Mbappe! He is 22 and he didn’t help at all while defending. He just stood there waiting for the ball.

Of course, he helped going forward and scored a goal but you expect a young superstar like him to help the team when it matters the most. PSG’s midfield and defence struggled throughout the game and it felt like PSG were playing with three fewer players while defending as a unit.
