A fan, after seeing his favourite Rohit Sharma playing in Ranchi, managed to breach the security and ran into the ground, in the direction where Rohit was fielding and tried to touch his feet. Rohit maintained a distance from him knowing how dangerous it could become with a stranger touching him during COVID-19 times. These are bio-bubble times and cricketers take it very seriously as one mistake could lead to them getting isloated.The security guards ran into get him out but the fan himself got up by then and started running back to the stands.

भारत और न्यूजीलैंड के बीच दूसरे टी-20 मैच के दौरान इंडियन क्रिकेट टीम के कप्तान रोहित शर्मा के एक फैन ने दीवानगी की सभी हदें पार कर दीं। 'हिटमैन' के इस प्रसंशक ने सिक्योरिटी तोड़ अचानक मैदान में दौड़ लगा दी। फिर रोहित शर्मा के पास जाकर दंडवत लेट गया।
सलामी बल्लेबाज इस दीवानगी को देख थोड़ा झेंप गए। उन्होंने प्रसंशक से ऐसा नहीं करने और उठने की रिक्वेस्ट की। रोहित का यह प्रशंसक जमीन पर दोनों हाथ जोड़कर लेट गया। हालांकि, वह रोहित के पैर नहीं छू सका।
सिक्योरिटी को अपनी तरफ आता देख वह झटपट उठ खड़ा हुआ और दोबारा दौड़कर दर्शकों में बैठ गया। कई लोगों ने इस लम्हे को कैमरे में कैद कर लिया।
यह पहला मौका नहीं है जब रोहित को छूने या उनके पास जाने की किसी फैन ने ऐसी बेताबी दिखाई हो। इसके पहले भी कई मौकों पर रोहित के चाहने वाले उनसे मिलने के लिए सुरक्षा घेरे को तोड़ मैदान में घुस चुके हैं।
गेंदबाजों की शानदार वापसी के साथ ही रोहित शर्मा और केएल राहुल के ताबड़तोड़ अर्धशतकों की बदौलत भारत ने शुक्रवार रांची में खेले गए इस मैच में न्यूजीलैंड को तीन ओवर पहले ही सात विकेट से पटखनी दी।
इस जीत के साथ ही तीन मैच की टी-20 सीरीज में टीम इंडिया ने 2-0 की अजेय बढ़त भी बना ली है। सीरीज का तीसरा मुकाबला कोलकाता के ईडन गार्डंस में रविवार को होगा, जो अब सिर्फ औपचारिकता बनकर ही रह गया है।
