This isn't Your Battle | Stop Struggling & Let God Fight Your Battles!
What scripture popped up in your mind when you saw this topic?
Let me guess, Exodus 14:14.
I know I’m right. I will advice you to sit back and get a note pad and a pen, because, we are about to go on a study galore with this topic today.
But before I get into this video, I’d like to encourage you to subscribe to our youtube channel, click on the notification bell, to be notified when we upload a new video every time. God bless you.
As we were saying, Exodus 14:14
We will look at two versions.
The King James Version and the message translation
“The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.”
“GOD will fight the battle for you. And you? You keep your mouths shut!””
These translations are defining the same things differently, and I need us to understand them properly, that is why I put up the two of them.
The Lord shall fight for you; what does it mean for someone to fight for you? It means that the Lord will struggle to overcome, eliminate and prevent things for you. And the latter part of the verse says, and you shall hold your peace.
To hold your peace means; To remain silent about something.
Now let’s put all these together. God is telling you, I will help you struggle to overcome, eliminate, prevent, things that stress you. And while I do that, all you need to do is to remain silent about it.
This reminds me of psalm 24 verse 1-6
In fact let us read it.
“Yahweh is my best friend and my shepherd. I always have more than enough. He offers a resting place for me in his luxurious love. His tracks take me to an oasis of peace near the quiet brook of bliss. That’s where he restores and revives my life. He opens before me the right path and leads me along in his footsteps of righteousness so that I can bring honor to his name. Even when your path takes me through the valley of deepest darkness, fear will never conquer me, for you already have! Your authority is my strength and my peace. The comfort of your love takes away my fear. I’ll never be lonely, for you are near. You become my delicious feast even when my enemies dare to fight. You anoint me with the fragrance of your Holy Spirit; you give me all I can drink of you until my cup overflows. So why would I fear the future? Only goodness and tender love pursue me all the days of my life. Then afterward, when my life is through, I’ll return to your glorious presence to be forever with you!”
This is a more detailed description of what God does for you when he fights for you.
God overtakes everything and puts you in a very comfortable state of rest. God is not a God that likes to stress his children, especially when it comes to them fighting over something that He can take care of, Of course He can take care of everything. So he steps in and allows us enjoy the privilege of having him as a Father.
The topic says do not struggle alone. We recognize that there will be some struggling, so do not allow yourself to do that alone when you have God to fight for you.
When you allow God fight for you, there are some things that are sure pertaining the outcome of that battle.
· Your victory is sure
“You see, every child of God overcomes the world, for our faith is the victorious power that triumphs over the world. So who are the world conquerors, defeating its power? Those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God.”
1 John
· You learn important lessons that will take you far in life
“Look, I have taught you statutes and judgments just as the LORD my God has commanded me, so that you may do them in the land which you are entering to possess. So keep and do them, for that is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the peoples who will hear all these statutes and say, ‘Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.’”
Deuteronomy
· It gives you a heart of gratitude
“in every situation [no matter what the circumstances] be thankful and continually give thanks to God; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus.”
1 Thessalonians
· It helps you develop the right attitude for trying times
“All who are oppressed may come to Yahweh as a high shelter in the time of trouble, a perfect hiding place.”
I am sure that you can see how God has geared up and is ready to fight your battles.
Our Topic says, Do not struggle alone. Stand still and let God fight your battles.
First of all struggling is not consistent with a believer.
Struggling is not meant for a child of God.
God has blessed you, And God’s blessings adds no sorrow, sorrow here can represent struggling. And that is not part of God’s plan for you.
