THE SECOND BEST THING...
50 YEARS.... It is truly incredible to think... one of the Greatest ALBUMS in ROCK, released this month, half a century ago, causing a TECTONIC SHIFT within the Rock Landscape... The album has become one of the pillars/cornerstone's of Rock History... TRAFFIC, firmly establishing itself as a true Pioneer/Architect of the JAM-BAND scene...
Among Fans, It is a generally accepted FACT that the 1973-ON THE ROAD version of the OPUS, is the ultimate IDEAL TYPE reference/ go to release... I bring you: THE SECOND BEST THING...
Another superb version from the same tour, with some exquisite Sax work from Master Wood and yet again Master Winwood Switching on the "Classical Piano Wizardry" MODE and the GREATEST ROCK BAND IN THE WORLD hitting on all cylinders.
I have to point out that especially with Master Wood & Master Winwood, almost at every gig, with every tune, you uncover something new in their playing... No version is ever the same... Every Traffic gig was an ENTITY of its own...
50 Years...
Remember...
