When it comes to creating an eclectic rogue gallery, DC has got you covered. Not only are their popular villains ridiculously exciting with fantastic story arcs and backstories, but slightly lesser-known villains are also not exempt from the splendor of incredible writing, characterization, and character design.
One such villain is the mentally insane criminal known as Cornelius Stirk. The character was created by Alan Grant and Norm Breyfogle and he made his first appearance in Detective Comics Issue Number 592 in November 1988 in a two-part story which was continued in Issue 593 as well.
This character instills fear in his victims to make their stress hormones skyrocket. He then takes their heart out as he believes that eating the heart will aid his survival. He also has psychic powers, making him a formidable opponent. He is menacing, brutal, and caters to a more mature audience due his dark and gritty portrayal.
