Cell returns in his Super Perfect Form and explains how it happened

After the fight of Gohan and Cell, Cell was backed into a corner and lost his perfect form, leaving him desperate and resorting to a self explosion attack.
Goku has decided to sacrifice himself in order to save earth.
Although it seemed like the only choice, it did seem like it worked.
But something wasn't right, Cell wasn't found in the afterlife, meaning only one thing, he somehow survived.
