0:39 - Goal of portfolio
The goal of this portfolio is to allow me to achieve financial independence and retire by 45 years old. According to the Rule of 25, as I have $3k monthly expense, I would need at least $900k to retire safely. Let's round it up to $1 million.

1:50 - History of portfolio
In 2018, I started by investing in dividend stocks which gave 4% return a year. But I found that dividend were too slow and I wouldn’t be able to reach my goal by 45 years old. So in 2019, I started investing in index funds, which could give 10% a year, but I was still short of my goal.

So in 2020, after watching Chicken Genius’ videos, I realized that I needed to invest in growth stocks to achieve my goal of reaching $1million by 45 years old.

I have 8 holdings in my portfolio, but the biggest of them all is Tesla at 76%.

9:29 - Earning extra returns on portfolio
Besides buying and holding for the long term, I’m also selling options on my portfolio, as well as putting the cryptos into high interest accounts like Hodlnaut and Binance Earn to generate extra returns.

10:39 - Wheel strategy
I’m also allocating $18k to the wheel strategy. Right now I’m wheeling Riot and NIO. Even though they are giving me a steady income, I will keep the amount small as buying and holding growth stocks will give higher returns over the long term.
